Quartz w/ Amphibole inclusions
Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais, Brazil
9.8 x 5.7 x 4.9 cm
You’re viewing a quality terminated quartz point with amphibole inclusions. This piece is from the initial find of this material roughly back in 2016-2017. We were lucky enough to purchase a 40+ kilo unopened drum of it! I’ve been told that a Canadian mining company has purchased the rights to the mine, but there hasn’t been production there for almost 5 years now. Currently there’s no new material being mined. This piece has been polished on all sides except for the contact point as been left natural. The termination however was naturally formed. This piece presents beautiful wisps of iron rich amphibole included in clear quartz. There’s also a highly reflective disc shaped growth of either quartz or potentially mica in the main crystal face. It has a nice iridescence to it when the light hits it right. Be sure to watch the video!
