Amethyst Stalactite Flower
Artigas, Artigas Department, Uruguay
5.4 x 5.2 x 3.7 cm
This amethyst specimen has top luster and A+ quality deep purple color. The color is offended referred to as “grape jelly” in the mineral world. This specific piece is the the end or the tip of a stalactite, often called a “flower,” “pine,” or “rosette.” There are a few dings on some the terminated crystals but overall it’s still a great example of this material.
